The King of Wall Street receives a Prime AAA rating in my book. It’s an exceptional and epic single dad romance worthy of spending several hours being absorbed.
Louise Bay has done it again. I am not surprise I freaking love this story. Her writing style has a way of making you tingle and swoon with a need to experience falling in love with the characters.
Don’t be surprise if you find yourself reading the entire book in one sitting. I was planning to read 4 or 5 chapters per day and find myself hours later reading the beautiful epilogue.
Harper Jayne has spent her entire graduate career devoted to getting a job working with “the” Max King. She becomes a junior researcher and realizes she may have signed on to work for the Boss from Hell. He is ruthless and merciless when it comes to critiquing her work. What Harper doesn’t realize it’s Max’s way of trying to distance himself from Harper. He wants her! His thoughts simmer every day on how much he wants to bend her over his desk and take her.
However, the job is destined to put her on a fast track to becoming one of the best research analyst on Wall Street. She has to learn to tough it out. When she learns Max King lives in her building, the Penthouse no less, she is immediately crushed she will have to keep on her toes outside the office.
Slowly, Max begins to seduce Harper. While she is demanding and adaptable to casual sex with him, she still manages to remind him about the “I hate you” parts.
“I Hate You Sex”is always hot! It’s grabbing the sheets, screaming his name HOTT!!! Suddenly, they are knee deep in an illicit affair away from the office.
As Harper becomes comfortable with the casual sex between them she meets his daughter and realizes Max King has a separate life away from the office. He is a single day with a 14-year-old telecommuting between Connecticut and NYC. When Harper finds out this information, she wrongly judges Max and a lose father who doesn’t have time for his daughter Amanda. Harper grew up without a father in her life who elected to throw money her way instead of being present in her life. B the way she still continues to refuse his financial help.
Max time at work is equal to his time at home. The author combines the perfect mix of single dad vs Wall Street guru. This is one of the best features of the love story. The relationship between Max and his daughter Amanda is precious. His role as single date is front and center. We don’t have a story whereas father and daughter time is glossed over just so we can get to the sexy times with Harper.
When Max receives the opportunity of a life time to pitch for a potential client he enlists the help of Harper to secure the deal. Max becomes mentor and lover to Harper and manages to connect his personal life with his business life.
Along with his sisters and daughter, you will get a great family dynamic story along with a hot erotic romance. When it comes to writing sex scenes, this author has a smart capability to make your toes tingle and heart surge with excitement reading some of the best imaginative sex scenes.
